It’s from a book series, The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. One of the main characters is of the Herdazian race, and he refers to another of the main characters as Gancho, which is slang for friend, pal, dude, etc.

I found the cheapest prescriptions at Pet Paws Rx . Significantly cheaper than Chewy.com.

Many small practice vets work with online companies that provide prescription drugs, food, etc. at a discount. The vet loses that income source but doesn't have to fool with inventory management. Larger vet clinics are still selling meds and food at a premium. The only downside of the online suppliers is an increase in junk email.

Oh bullshite. We almost killed our Chihuahua feeding her real whole food. They need things contained in dog food that aren’t in real food.
We do the yearly shots for heart worms and fleas. Same time as their vaccs.

Most meals are a mix of chicken thighs or ground beef, add some bone broth, and some high quality kibble (human grade ingredients).

Gorgeous pup, congrats! Find a local vet not sucked up by a corporate or private equity and use and buy from that vet. We need them who remain untouched by corp. I’m happy to support my vet who chooses to stay solo and animal healthcare is priority vs squeezing from my pocket.

Definitely shop around on the vet prices. You'd be amazed at how widely they vary in the same town.
Two years ago I was looking to get a dog spayed, and two vet clinics, about 5 miles apart... one was 150.00, the other 650.00.

Great looking dog.
I found Tractor Supply to have the best prices on my dogs heartworm\flea\tick meds. Its online only tho... you send in the prescription and they mail the drugs to you, you cant go to a store and pick them up.

What do you say at the vet? Ask them what they’re prescribing and go shop it online before committing to buying it from them? I’ve always just thought we have to get stuff at the vet, which is why I’m now asking.
