My son works on the north slope. I can guarantee that that’s not the heaviest polar bear in Alaska. There’s probably hundreds bigger than him. But he is a big boy and I’m sure he’s a good boy.

I remember seeing a documentary about an eskimo tribe in northern Alaska. The US gov allows them to kill a whale every year because that's what their ancestors did. Except back in the day, their ancestors were many and they ate off the whale for like 6 months. Now the eskimos are few and get food stamps to buy provisions so they only take like 5% of the whale and leave the carcass rotting on the shore. Some enterprising polar bears have figured this out so they just spend all summer on this one inlet gorging on the whale carcass.

I saw him when he was younger. He's bearly recognizable now.

I thought all the polar bears were starving and going extinct.

Polar bears will eat anything too.

Al Gore will dispute this. Bears are starving.

How dare the Alaskan people assume the culture and body shame this bear! First, don't the Alaskans know that body shaming is a HUGE affront to people and creatures of size? And secondly, just 'cause the bear's fur is light to medium brown, that don't mean he's black. What if he identifies as Latino? Or South American? Or Samoan / Pacific Islander? SHAME on the Alaskans who did this!

I bet fat albert still has no problem running down his next meal. Scary.
