What age range are they considering millennials? Does this take into account for a bunch of high schoolers that are babysitting and shite?

Is the mean similar to the median? Does this exclude part time or unemployed people?

The job market sucks right now. It took me 2 years to find a job in my field with an MS in a specialized field. If you don't have a good degree, finding full time minimum wage work isn't even easy.

And taking into consideration the rising cost of the degree, even one that may eventually land you decent work, the money goes quick. I also love the "needs X years of experience" for what used to be an entry-level position just out of college that in reality you shouldn't need a degree for but instead a handful of certifications. So you're expected to work for next to nothing in an economy where cost has risen significantly in relation to pay just to get a job that might pay a living wage depending on what state you live in. And because of healthcare regulations some jobs don't want to hire more than part-time to avoid having to provide benefits.

Aight I was just curious

FWIW, the average median household income in the US $51,939 according to wikipedia. Those numbers for millennials aren't too shocking considering a large portion are single and/or working entry level jobs.

Literally just looked at an "engineer 1" position

5-10 years experience preferred. WTF?!

So you earned what was basically the average wage for all workers 10 years ago, as an intern? Congrats on being an outlier. If your earnings now are not close to or beyond 6 figures, you really sucked somewhere in the last decade.

Baby Boomers: "Millennials are so entitled"

Ah yes the weekly "poor little millennials, we have it so bad" thread. Que the bitching about all that's wrong in the world, how old people are responsible for it.
Reading all the self pity is entertaining tho

You can thank Obama both for the 50 states' low numbers,

and DC's high numbers.

Millennials aren't willing to work from the bottom up, but they are making less than their parents when they were starting out. Seems like they are forced to be more willing to work their way up from the bottom. Like promotion opportunities even work like that anymore.
