Id bet that your definition of an emergency would be much different if you were on the train instead of behind your keyboard.

Being stuck for a day with food, shelter, power and no one injured is not an emergency.

Apparently it's the frickton of snow that is holding things up. As in maintenance crews are having a difficult time getting to the problem areas. Hyrail trucks don't move through several feet of snow on the tracks. Hell, they don't like snow on the tracks period.

I'm betting Mr. Norfolk Southern has never dealt with snow like that.

You’d bring fricking wrong too. Once again, we deal with this ALL THE TIME. You just don’t hear about it. Pretty sure last month a train was stuck because of feet of snow. We heard about it in the safety meeting before the work day. But it was gone within hours.

Alaska Railroad would have it done in 20 minutes once the wings of the snow plow that mysteriously broke just in front of the fast-moving freight with critical cargo, gets fixed.

Dude, if this is your idea of an emergency you are a quintessential snowflake.

Call me a snowflake but if that train ran out of liquor, I would declare an emergency.

I’ve had a worse train experience than this. So I was going from Shanghai to one of China’s National Parks call Zhangjiajie. I decide to take the train instead of fly, since you really can’t say you’ve lived in China until you’ve taken a shitty train ride. I’m in the front cabin and the train is sold out. Across from me is this elderly couple that have a fat girl blindfolded and all three of them are in the aisle and don’t have a sitting seat. She also has a scar on the left side of her neck, a very popular place for Chinese people to stab each other.

The train takes off, and a 3 or 4 year old walks by. It turns out this fat girl is severely retarded and starts beating the toddler. The grandparents and the toddler’s father get her off of her. After that she beats up another elderly person. I’ve had enough at this point knowing this would be headline news in the US and that these grandparents should be sued into an oblivion. I go to the train attendant and demand that she kick these people off the train or to chain the Retarded Kong in the freight section of the train. The attendant said there was nothing she could do since they brought tickets.

I was speechless and went to the back cabins, but some more fun waited for me there. An 18 year old kid who just graduated high school wanted to practice English with me, when all I wanted was a steaming hot beer that was the only alcohol they were serving. This kid would not take no for an answer on practicing English and would follow me for an hour straight. But this a-hole would not follow me into the front cabin where the violent retard was. So I was fricked the entire train ride.

During the ride, the retard spit all over the place, screamed bloody murder, assaulted a few more people, threw a bucket of ramen on someone, said “Jiayo! Jiayo! Jiayo!” and “Hi! Bye Bye!” over 5,000 times, and threw a shoe directly at my face (ducked a missed). So it’s either that or one of the most annoying kids ever I had to deal with, and I couldn’t flip my shite because the Chinese on that train would turn on me when they were feeling bad for me at the time.

And now for the kicker, I departed Shanghai at 1:00 in the afternoon and was scheduled to arrive 6:00 the next morning.... the train arrived at fricking 7:00 the next evening, 13 hours late and still having to deal with all this fricking bullshite for 31 straight hours. It was if I was trapped in a cage with a chimpanzee on a 3 day crack binge. When we finally arrived, I got my bag and the retard got in one last spit in my face. I’ll take just about anyone who says they have a bad flight/train ride.

So all these people got on the train with just a couple of diapers, tampons, etc.? When they got to their destination, were they all getting in an Uber and going to Walgreen's?
