Not to derail this thread, but I love hearing stories like this. I think it goes to show you that when human beings share experiences of adversity, even complete strangers band together to work through it.
It's when we all have nothing better to complain about that we attack each other's throats like rabid dogs.
That's why I don't believe humans were designed to simply be fat and happy.

This sounds nice, and all, but after reading it all it sounded like they've been on there longer than 24hrs. Ha.
Im sure there has to be a helicopter near by that can come by to remove that tree. Kind of want to see a pic of the tree that has kept them stranded, and unable to nudge off to the side by a train of today. Probaly some "osha" or "union" rule that is not allowing it.

Surely they could fly in a crew with snow shovels and a chain saw.. or stuck em in one of those pickup trucks with train wheels. Are there no men on the train?

I feel like they could air drop in some food and water, diapers, tampons, etc. And maybe a few people to clear the tracks.

This is so fricking stupid. I work for Norfolk southern and this happens everyday but guess what? You don’t hear about it because we do our job and get shite out of the way.

What part of I work for Norfolk southern do you not understand? That’s not part of our railroad. If it was, you wouldn’t hear about it because it would’ve never happened. They would’ve been gone days ago.
