I'm not familiar with that intersection, but is the Audi in an actual lane? It doesn't appear to be.
The Audi is in a right turn lane.

Audi doesn't even look to be in an actual lane.

Looks at me funny and tries to confront me by getting out of their car with the intent of maybe hurting me are two totally different things
Pretty telling that the light bulb didn't go off on the meaning of my comment to you.

We really need PSAs about self-defense and use of force.
Agreed.
During that PSA it should also be stressed that legal justification for deadly force does NOT mean you should automatically use it, but a justifiable homicide certainly has its place.

Holy crap if I was that cop I would be nervous as hell doing that

With the window open and the side mirror being pushed in, I would say its going to be hard to prove he wasn't leaning in the vehicle unless there is video showing he wasn't. Plus, if you think about it, he would prob have to bend down to talk into the window of an Infiniti. There all kinds of ways this could have gone down. Hopefully they have some kind of video.

yeah... JM's vehicle is in a turn lane and doesn't look like plans on turning any time soon

No. That would eliminate pulling a gun on someone or threatening them with a deadly weapon from outside of the vehicle.

"joe wanted to say good bye before departing."

Just curious, if he was fearing for his life, why did he roll down his window?

It's the turning lane, which makes it seem that McKnight may have been following Gasser and pulled up to Gasser's car in a threatening manner.

probably didn't have free glass replacement on his insurance

hey have to come into your vehicle in some way.
Well that's not true
If you shoot a person that has not attempted to enter your vehicle...you aren't sleeping in your bed that night. Gasser would be in jail if McKnight was just standing outside his car yelling at him.
I am unsure how people on here think they can shoot someone who is unarmed for yelling at them. If I am wrong, I would like to know how.
Posted on 12/2/16 at 2:34 pm to GeauxxxTigers23
If McKnight hadnt "entered" the car through the window would the shooting possibly still be ruled as justified self defense? Or would that be super murky
Posted on 12/2/16 at 2:34 pm to rt3
so it wouldn't be a completely preposterous assumption to say Gasser was boxed in by a red light in front of him, a car behind him, an Audi to his right (that we can see clearly) and probably a car on his left side at the time of the incident?
