If it takes free concerts, free food, and bus rides to get you to vote off a list given to you by your handlers, you should not be voting.

The worse mayor New Orleans has ever had and that’s saying a lot. I had no idea it would be any worse than Mitch.

Would love for someone to check into those construction companies. Lotta “other people’s money” changing hands.

Politicians giving each other trophies for overspending taxpayer money is really something.

I can guarantee you that 20% of that was only materials. 80% was labor charges for time and half which were definitely over charged.

I have no idea how these people keep their jobs.
Same people that think its ok to spend $80million on dredging out the LSU lakes.
We are going to hell in a bankrupt hand basket at ludicrous speed

Yep. Real cause for celebration here.
Well, the street hasn't collapsed... yet. That's reason to celebrate.

I wish my boss let me come in 18 months late and 3x over budget on my projects
Posted on 11/15/19 at 3:49 pm to lsu13lsu
There was no way that project was ever going to get done for the initial number of 6million and it was never going to be done in less than a year.

mayor was late cutting the ribbon too.

She was obviously in over her head when she even ran for the office. To be fair, Half Moon left the city in shambles.

LSU lakes should have been left as a cypress swamp.

Mardi Gras is going to be a cluster frick
Latoya will be ran out of town. Even her own people are starting to turn on her.

To be fair this was Mitch's administration that handled Bourbon St. I actually give the current mayor credit for moving forward and finishing it asap. The contractor did a POOR job estimating, but people need to also realize there were 7 streets atop each other here going back a couple of hundred years, including wood. It had to be done correctly but i'm sure it cost twice as much as it should have. Also, this mayor, who I did not vote for, is trying to tackle the S&WB problems which were a cash fiefdom for decades, including under Landrieu. At least she's got people in place and lighting fires under them. That's why so many things are being exposed. The previous 5 decades were nothing but incompetence and THEFT. No less than 3 S&WB supers are retired for life at $ 170,000.00 per year. That's not her fault - yet .
