It seems to me that the mayor and her minion both used this press conference to blame the judicial system…specifically DA. They pointed fingers directly at them.
They certainly did not like being pushed back on in regards to the witness when Kiran asked them about it again. She is the only one in the room willing to ask, so they will probably ban her from any mayors press conference as well

Pointing fingers at the DA isn’t going to end well if he is able to show the kinds of cases referred over to him and the evidence to support them.

I don’t think they wanted to make a scene in a presser that would get a lot of attention.
They don’t want her there but publicly removing her from a story she has clearly been covering draws a lot more attention to both Kiran’s reporting and accusations against MP and SWB.

I think they wanted her there to try to bully her. They mentioned several times about rumors and to not believe everything you read unless it comes directly from them. It was their way of trying to make her look bad, but may have backfired when she called them out at the end and the homicide division minion got his panties in a wad.
