Wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that F. King has been angling to run for office at some point.
I remember hearing last year that if HRC won the election he was poised to take some position up in Washington DC. There was some sort of connection there. Glad she didn't win, but I'm ready for his arse to be outta here.

er recent request for $2.25 million to outfit every officer with a body camera.
The 2.25 is just a down payment. Taser charges astronomical storage fees for the video. The give the cameras away to get the storage business. BRPD is going to get 400 BC. Thats alot of videos.

Using education as the forefront to incorporate a city while destroying the one that basically built the other says it all.
The people of St George built Baton Rouge, not the other way around.

Simple question, as I've been away from BR from a while: why the name St. George?

If this attempt is shot down, all of the successful people of baton rouge should just fricking leave. See how they like that

Essentially because of the st. George fire department, though slightly deeper than that.

There used to be some OT'ers against St George back in the day. Is that still the case?
Where's LSURussian?

St. George was a white man who slayed a dragon.
Probably a black dragon.
And colonialism.

A St. George spokesman did not respond to requests for comment Wednesday. But the group's Facebook page continues to be active, most recently questioning Broome's choice of a chief administrative officer and previously bashing Broome's transition report on race relation
Nah, Saint George is not about race. It's just about better schools.

How does pointing out someone else's racism make one a racist them self?

That is a burning question. Because whenever I point out racism on this board I get accused of being racist.
And don't act so naïve. You know damn well St. George is about race. This board even jokes about it all the time.

Are you white and an SC fan?

You already know the answer to those questions

You're not a racist.
You just have a psychologically crippling case of white guilt that causes you to race bait. There's a difference.

So the mayor is using race as a political driver and the race she is against wants out. So the victims of her racial divisiveness are the racists?
I thought blacks couldn't be racist because they didn't have power and influence over others. SWB does as mayor, so can she be racist now? Or will we move the goalposts again?

I don't feel 1 ounce of guilt for carrying the white privilege . Calling out racism and not participating in it is not white guilt.

I do not! I assumed you were black and a bandwagon SC fan from circa Reggie era.

She absolutely has her racist agenda. But the push for St. George with its racial underpinnings were there long before she was a candidate.
