Is it a new plan to combat crime? A new plan to alleviate flooding? A new plan to get the beggars off the streets? A plan to clean up the parish?
No, a plan to promote EVs. Yes, while we want a safer, cleaner parish; our leader is working to get us federal dollars for charging stations.
And the band played on.

She's doing the only thing she knows how to do: Nothing.

She's assembling a key committee to establish an EV task force that will commissions studies, along with the help of community leaders and members of the faith community, to find out how to disperse EV resources to provide equity to the most underserved and at-risk members of the community. Lunch will be provided.

Someone must have given her the national Democrat mayor playbook. It calls for the following:
1. Ignore all crime issues
2. Ignore all traffic issues
3. Ignore homelessness
4. Do nothing about education problems
5. Take lots of vacations
6. Promote EVs

What is separation of church and state? Separation of church and state is the idea that government should remain neutral toward all religions and not officially recognize or favor any one religion. In the separation of church and state, church refers to religion in general, while state refers to the government.

The plan gives East Baton Rouge Parish a better chance to attract a share of $7.5 billion in federal dollars set aside under the recent bipartisan infrastructure law to fund charging stations and vehicle purchases, the administration says.
Building a downtown parking lot with EV chargers for 20 spaces, for which $700,000 has been allocated.
Updating parking rate ordinance to accommodate pricing for EV charging stations.
Seeking proposals from vendors to update and operate outdated parish-owned chargers.
Encouraging installation of EV charging stations as part of the review process for new developments, and considering incentives to do so, while updating the development code to allow EV chargers in all zoning areas.
Transitioning the municipal fleet to zero-emission vehicles.
Applying for federal grants for EV charging infrastructure.

“Currently, only public utilities are allowed to sell electricity to consumers in Louisiana, which is why every public charging station across the state currently provides the electricity for free,” the plan document notes. “Although there are workarounds such as charging a time-based rate for parking in the space, this regulation may deter private businesses and small or local companies from entering the electric vehicle charging market.”

You left out the part about getting vaccinated. Everything else is spot on though.

Why are all these EV cars in Baton Rouge. The median income of BR is less than the cost of an EV car
