Math riddle for the OT

In words, an old car travels the 1 mile ascent at a speed of 15mph. The hill's descent is 1 mile long as well. How fast does the car have to travel on the descent to achieve an average speed of 30mph for the whole trip?
I'm sure it's already been posted before, but who doesn't love a thread to go 8 pages arguing about a problem?

I think 45mph on the one mile descent would do the trick.

That’s easy…
The faster you drive the more gas you will save, tailgate down of course

Not possible. Can't travel fast enough.

It can’t.
ETA: Here’s how I thought it out. 30 mph over 2 miles takes 4 minutes. But if you go 15 mph for the first mile, you already used up those 4 minutes you need.

It's impossible. To average 30 MPH you would have to do the drive in 4 minutes. It will take that long to get to the top so you would have to complete the downhill part instantly to make the average.
