At least one fatality has been confirmed after a construction crane fell in downtown Manhattan this morning.

Images of the crane, which fell around 8:25 a.m., show the crane lying on top of parked cars in the street.

It is still unclear if people were in the cars at the time of the crash.

Video of it falling-NSFW (language....kind of)

Got to hope it was only the driver in this BMW. What a shitty way to go.

Was there a storm or something this morning in NY that would've caused this?

Dang, that thing is a few blocks in length. Hopefully the drivers are okay. I knew it was supposed to snow this morning, maybe it was the wind?

Yea, I wonder if it bounced off any buildings on the way down.
