coincidence or what? for them to call her not a person of interest is still a bit naive.

Oh, I wouldn't be shocked if they paid out just to keep the bad press to a minimum. There will likely be a large fund that the hotel will contribute to along with the concert vendors, etc. That doesn't mean these hotels will start checking luggage.
Now if this becomes a common occurrence? Then we can start getting into potential liability issues.

Wut? He could have brought it in one load on a luggage cart and no one would have batted an eye. Hell, a concierge may have even helped him
Possible as well..I'm just thinking out loud.
Would it raise suspicion if someone had a night stay and hauled in 7 bags? Was he already staying at the hotel previous nights?
Could only suspicious bags be checked upon arrival? Instead of all?
I'd be a little irked if someone checked into a hotel for a nights stay and had a shite ton of crap, unless it was a woman. I dunno.

Yeah, I've never stayed at MB but I would assume those rooms at the end of the building are huge suites.
I've stayed in a suite at the Four Seasons which is the top of Mandalay Bay and the windows are huge
Wife and I stayed there. Didn't spring for the corner suite but we were right by that. I know because of those two big assed palm trees. I woke up one morning and canceled my golf round because those trees were near sideways.

I tend to think that governments use propaganda to spread ideology. This has been happening for a long time. I try not to jump to conclusion, and all I can do is wait for facts. Problem being that we'll likely never hear the facts. Some observations:
In Europe, every attack is followed by multiple graphic liveleak videos showing gruesome scenes of dead people and mangled bodies. Yet here, we never see that. Not saying it didn't happen, just gotta think with 22k phones in the area, someone would have something more convincing than what I've seen so far.
I've seen alot of pictures of cops with their AR's drawn, yet look at the windows around the two that are shattered. No collateral... not a single shot. In real life active shooters (see Dallas PD ambush by BLM) those guys shot at everything. Again, not saying this didnt happen... just something to take note of.
Seen a couple videos during the shooting of the hotel. No blasts. Not a single video of someone filming the muzzle flash. Its our nature, as humans, to be the center of attention and capture shite like this on camera. Yet nothing?
The only similarity between all the mass shootings we hear about is hearsay. I will not rush to judgement on this one till the authorities get their stories lined up and release a formal statement.

This has never been an issue before so the hotels wouldn't be suspicious. I remember staying at hotels in Texas where Mexican nationals would literally bring 10+ big things of luggage for 2 people.
In the future the bigger hotels will definitely be more cautious. But even in the future if they spot someone by themselves with 2-3 big things of luggage -- is that really suspicious? How would the cops get a warrant just for having too many pieces of luggage? It becomes a slippery slope.

WTF AP: ISIS claims responsibility, said that shooter converted to Islam months ago.

Someone shot him from the ground up?
Self-inflicted? If he was dead when the police came in, shot in the back of the head or killed quietly by a Jim Bob or a Montrell or a Muhammed, or whatever, we'll know there's a mass shooter still on the loose who wanted the use of that hotel room. An extremely remote possibility, but.

I was an arse for saying country music sucks in this thread, so thank you so much for taking the heat off of me
What an idiot
Look harder... one of the first videos that came out showed the muzzle flash from the window... how stupid are you?

People need to be reminded of this OVER and OVER.
He was not insane.
This was planned, plotted, and methodically executed.
This guy had a purpose and knew what he was doing.

Supposedly he had a camera outside in the hall so he knew when the cops were coming. I'd guess he killed himself.
