Nah, with the way that gun sounded it wasn't a store-bought automatic, that was a converted automatic. Not that it really matters at this point.

Hard to really distinguish the sound coming from the gun vs the echoes of the gun fire from the buildings.

You can count the floors and see there are at least 40. So 43 doesn't sound off at all.

Depending on the state it could take years to buy an automatic weapon, and the FBI will know EVERYTHING about you before you get it.

Many on Reddit speculating it wasn't full auto, but sounded like a bump trigger.
What a tragedy. I watched one video that might have been the scariest shooting video I've ever seen. I own a few high powered rifles and there's no reason why the general public should be able to go out and buy them. I'm not sure anything can be done to prevent mass shootings like this in the future, this guy has created a blue print for other psychos.

It will be interesting to see the distances involved. 32nd floor and across LasVegas Boulevard and down into the concert venue and this guy was hitting people. There is some skill involved there even for just spraying the crowd.
I am always fascinated by what could possibly motivate someone to do something like this. 60+ year old W/M doesn't seem like your typical suspect.

Yep. Last domestic shooting from elevated area I can think of is the Texas clock tower shooting.
