I'm still confused by what this even means.
The conspiracy hacks are saying he went down to a knee with a gun and was shooting into the crowd.

maybe the videographer who was filming the injured was going around subtly picking up the shell casings on the ground from security guard shooter.

I don't want to pretend I'm some kind of expert, either. There are several others on this board that have been flying a lot longer than I have. EA, 777, etc. They'd be able to add a lot more to the convo.

Trust me, you aren't the only one. I'm only a mere 2 hrs in......from 8 years ago

He's using the video of these poor people as a diversion for what's going on with his left hand right out of sight with the camera. That sneaky frick!

A big truck would've been worst case scenario IMHO. He could've mowed people down, got out guns blazing, and hit a trigger blowing everything up. It's much easier for him to conceive than shooting people from 400 yards away.
I don't understand why he didn't do that. Did he scope out the festival, and see barricades?

Maybe he was so disconnected that he thought higher ground would give him a better sense of superiority. Ground level may have been too personal for that psycho.

He may have had a gun out, but at best it looks like a handgun based on the angle of his arms. Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't capable of automatic fire.
Looks more like he was trying to find the shooter because he still thought it was happening at ground level.

No, but I'd be less than pleased that this person then decided to put it online . That's not a good look.
I'd still be appreciative that he helped save my friend or family member.

I dont really see where he was helping do anything, asked where they were hit and then left and did the same thing, i did not see any yell out for an EMT..There is a difference in helping and videoing a bunch of dead bodies and getting it leaked to the internet for anybody to see including families of the people injured or dead
The dude was heavily intoxicated. There should have been at that point more of a law enforcement presence to secure the area, and get everyone out.
However the courage that these people had to stay and help others makes me have hope in this bad world.
It doesn't bother me, but he probably shouldn't have posted it making himself look like an sensless arse.
*Sry for the late reply. Phone died and just got back home.

I can't think of another spot on the strip, where he could have targeted an area that had thousands of people in one specific spot.
He attempted to book the Ogden for the other music festival a few weeks ago but couldn't get the rooms he wanted. 45,000 people per day at that event.
I was not aware of this.. Wow!

I would be curious to know how far in advance he booked his hotel.
Thanks. He was truly one sick frick.

Does anybody know when the next update is going to be?

I was about to ask if the popo had released any new info. I guess not.
They have to be holding on to some spicy stuff if they're keeping so quiet about it

Not that it would have necessarily helped, but I'd imagine security/alert level would be much higher on NYE than some random Sunday night with a Country Music Festival passing through.

This would also explain the panic when the security guard came. shite got real and he ended it.

I have a question for anyone LEO or anyone with knowledge:
How common is it for regular patrol units to have a long rifle on board?
I’m probably talking out of my arse but since the event I’ve wondered why there didn’t seem to be an attempt to put up at least some suppression fire from the ground. I’m not talking about sniper stuff to kill him, just some return rounds to make things harder for him. I know that would be risky to other people in the hotel but one would think that is an all bets off situation.
