because that's what he was certified to fly. He wouldn't have been able to rent a twin engine plane or legally fly one

Because restrictions stopped him in the first place? I'm not saying he would've used a bigger plane, but the legal defense isn't really applicable in this situation

ETA: I'm not picking on you in particular, I'm just trying to see the other side of the argument

Seriously? How does she sound nosy? They practically lived on top of each other.

These reports from Reno are mostly irrelevant when the man lived in Mesquite. How well are your neighbors supposed to know you at your vacation home after 4 years or so?

How fast can his plane go and what would it have looked like at that speed?

Depends on the exact model. Top speed of 150-185 and fuel capacity comparable to a full size truck.

So going full speed at 185mph and landing it right into a crowd of 22k people had no chance of killing 59 people?

He didn't have to nosedive it into 1 spot, he could have gone across the ground almost like a normal landing taking out swaths of people as he goes.

But we're talking about the planes he actually owned at one point. I brought up the legality of him flying a twin engine because someone mentioned him being able to rent one. He wouldn't have been able to rent one because his license had lapsed and most likely was never certified to fly one anyway. Nobody would have let him rent.

Should we talk more about the security guard shooting from ground level?

I honestly don't think so, with how flimsy those planes are coupled with people's ability to possibly see and hear the plane coming.

We're having a perfectly civil discussion about possible alternate outcomes. This thread is 200+ pages long. Nobody is making you read this shite.

By the time they'd realize it's coming at them, there were too many people to really move with any manner of quickness.

Me personally? Yes. I believe he videoed the scene to get himself some attention on social media. Again, to each his own. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and some of the victims families might enjoy seeing the video. I just wouldn't be one of them. I'd be pissed.
Would you be pissed that while your daughter was bleeding everywhere out of holes in her head, 1 guy walked up to her, got her talking, figured out she was conscious, and started screaming his arse off for EMTs to come to that spot?

shite was hectic af and he was identifying people who could be saved.

Oh and then a retarded arse police officer announced that EVERYONE on that side of the fence was dead. Sweet. So our guy tells him frick off, get EMTs here NOW, and turn the goddamn lights on.

But somehow...you'd be pissed at this kid. That's ridiculous. The families had to identify the deceased anyways. They know how gruesome the injuries were.

The girl shot in the head was calm and at peace it seemed. She probably died. Her family would most likely be overwhelmed with relief that she died that calm and peacefully.

No, but I'd be less than pleased that this person then decided to put it online . That's not a good look.

It looks like they do line up to me... First pic is from behind the hotel looking at the concert ground, 2nd pic is from behind the concert grounds looking at the hotel.

In the first picture (the diagram) they are showing it as though the main stage would actually be between the hotel and the bulk of the audience, which wouldn't be ideal for the shooter. In the second picture of the concert grounds it appears as though the audience/stage arrangement is perpendicular to the line of sight from the hotel. That would be a MUCH better vantage point for a shooter, not at all dissimilar to what he had in the actual shooting scenario.

This argument has gone on for pages.

The people who disapprove don't like that the guy posted it to the internet.

The people who approve like that the guy helped the victims by alerting EMTs.

You are arguing apples and oranges, hence the longevity of the topic.
