I've always sort of hated this building when approaching college drive. Its the only tall building in the area, uninspiring architecture.
However they've just refurbished the exterior, it looks a lot better. What's the OT opinion of this landmark?

The Marriott is trashy.

Why aren't you staying in the house you own for football weekends?

I actually noticed they refurbished the outside yesterday when driving on the interstate. I agree it does look better. The windows look very good

I'm sure the Marriot hates being on Hilton Drive.

I agree. See it twice a day everyday. A few of the windows were boarded up forever. I don't see how Marriott would let it be an eyesore for so long in such a high traffic area.

Although hard to notice anymore now that Attorney moved in.

Because while incorrect, the more common vernacular is Buffalo.

The new owners are spending $23 million on the redo. Going to be very nice when it's done. Every room is getting gutted and redone from what I understand.

Haven't been on college drive in years. Is it still impossible to go 5ft in under 2 minutes between 4pm-6pm

The inside still sucks. Hopefully they remodel that next.

Completely incorrect. I stayed there three weeks ago and the room was completely redone and very nice. The lobby and bar have been renovated as well. I guess your points level isn't high enough to get one of the new rooms?

BTW, my room overlooked G Gordon's office with all of the lights and blow up animals. Then I saw him yesterday by LSU in his Chevy Avalanche with the full wrap treatment. That guy really loves himself.

It was a Hilton for many years and one of the nicest hotels in Baton Rouge. Most bands that played BR would stay there. When I see it I think of Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, etc. hanging out there. Nostalgic landmark for me I guess.

Maybe so. I stayed there in October and my room was horrible. I've been diamond with Hilton for four years so my points aren't that high with Marriot. Besides the room, I held an event there for my customers and we all got sick from the lunch they served. Many trips to the bathroom that afternoon.

It's ok. Not sure why it's so tall for a small city like BR?

Are you referring to the Marriott on Hilton Drive?

We appreciate your loyalty sir. Would you like a bottle of water and a snack, or would you like to opt for bonus points?
