I hope the remodel turns out nice. I stopped staying there a few years ago. It was a dump inside. Elevators always out. Half the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke.

I was just pulling your chain with the points comment in the spirit of the OT. I am a Hilton guy as well. I just stayed there because I had some Marriott points to burn.

That really caught me off guard as well. He was standing outside his car talking to someone by Barcadia. Wearing sweat pants and it was definitely him. He looked exactly like his giant picture on the signs. Worst was that the truck didn't just have a sign on it. It was a full wrap and gaudy as hell.

I have not stayed in that hotel in years. It needed a remodel and from what I understand it should look great soon.
