I think most of her buyers are from Lakeview actually.
Cant even get your own made-up story right

His dad died in the last year, not sure what the succession plan was. The family owns multiple companies (Pel Hughes Printing and Floor De Lis). I think Johnny is running the flooring stores. I know the whole family well

Unfortunately, it is happening in a lot of cities and states right now. Mayors and Governors are picking which “Small Businesses” get to try and succeed while making it impossible for others to survive with these “new arbitrary regulations” for six+ months.
Pretty hypocritical that a casino can be open but other businesses, regardless of square footage, cannot have similar correlated occupancies.
I am glad that Mark spoke out and I hope more and more business owners do so in public forums.

Mark and his brother Brian run it. Brian was in the meeting with Destroya also. He told me yesterday that she flat out said that she isn't doing shite until the federal government gives her money.

You seem to have a hard on for going into threads and telling everyone why you think lake Charles is better. I’ve seen it multiple times.
I’m not sure if you’re trying to convince yourself or everyone else.

Tease of potential changes next week
City teased a loosening of restrictions next week. Will be interesting to see how they play it.

New Orleans might announce the easing of some coronavirus restrictions late next week, assuming infection cases haven't surged since students began returning to in-person classes, a spokesperson for Mayor LaToya Cantrell said Tuesday.
The possible loosening follows a timeline to which the Cantrell administration has been hewing since public schools officials announced they would be bringing students back to campus in phases. The timeline called for waiting until health officials were sure that having kids in class was not creating a worrying increase in new COVID-19 cases.

No one is leaving Uptown for shithole Slidell or Metairie
maybe in your circle no one is making this move. i know 5/6 people looking to move from uptown/lakeview to metairie.
the most consistent reason is that the NO S&WB changes fees without warning, and the changes are significant.

I’m one of the people who made the move from uptown. I know multiple people in lakeview who contemplate it including my own parents.

I suggest that the feds send her a picture of handcuffs to see if she makes a connection.

Just imagine how prosperous and more attractive New Orleans would be if it had a Republican administration. Perhaps the best thing is to let Nola slide into the abyss, and run her coffers dry to provide basic services. Let all the handouts dry up, and the democratic base would be forced to move to Houston/Atlanta. Maybe then the republican majority could win a mayors race.

bro i even included the

but it is true that LC has produced more major tech companies than Nola has. it's really more of an indictment of the Nola "tech" industry than it is a celebration of LC
now the jobs stuff the past few years? that was legitimate. it's over now though for the most part b/c of Saudi Arabia killing the prospects of shall-LNG.

Ok, she's an idiot so we know that.
Assuming the feds are going to give several cities money, what is the timing on this?

I just got off the phone with my state rep. She met with Steve Scalise earlier this week. Scalise told her that the state and cities shouldn't count on funds from the fed. FEMA has not put anything in writing stating that they will dole out monies to municipalities impacted by covid.
And good for them. People like Honor Chode and Destroya are artificially creating a disaster, just hoping that daddy fed will swoop in and throw cash at them.
