Things like this are why I’m glad I do not work closely with any females.

Yes, her typing and grammar in general is pretty poor. I tried to put it lightly by saying she's "simple". Think of an ole coonass grandma or aunt, if you grew up in Louisiana, good chance you have one somewhere in your family tree.

so, did the "hack" send the messages from the husband's phone or were they received on the husband's phone?

I got some more info. Her husband's story is that his phone was "hacked" and sent out inappropriate messages to other ladies and some of his female coworkers. word has gotten back to his work and now his wife (woman from OP).

She's currently convinced it is a foreign actor with hooks into her hubbies phone because all this came up amidst "all these Chinese drones in our country".

I would gather up a couple other employees and tell her as a group so it’s not just on you

Ask her did it send it to a bunch of men as well or just women. She might get the hint.

Some men can convince their wives of anything and it's always best to stay the hell out of it.

Example...
Guy left his trailer and boat at a boat ramp to go out cheating. Got back and it had been stolen. Convinced his wife he stopped at the bath house by the ramp cause he had the shits and someone unhooked it from his truck and stole it.

Funny thing is...I'm pretty sure I've seen the boat a few times with a new camo paint job. Called my buddy the first time I saw it and was told not to say a word. He's too afraid the guy would spill the beans about how it was stolen.

People like that...you just let dig their own holes man.

Hi,

You’re right. Take it from a fellow boomer. Don’t stick your nose in other people’s business - you might get it dirty haha.

frick the hacking stupidity. You need to explain to her what spelling and grammar mean, and how to use both. Holy shite.

She seems like an imbecile. Too dumb to even care if her husband is cheating on her.

Damn, that's hard to read.

What say you, OT? Side with the husband's hacker story or shoot this old bird straight?

I'm an IT guy who supports communications systems.

It is not hard to spoof the source of an SMS text message and to run a mass upload of messages that show they originated from that number. However, those will not appear on the phone with the assigned source number.

The question I have is, do those messages appear on her husband's phone? If so, then either he did it himself or someone else got a hold of his phone and did it.

If they are not on his phone, then his number was spoofed.

Ah, OK. Disregard my previous post. He has not been spoofed. He's guilty AF.

Don’t believe this story. Not one of the boomers I know would make the kinds of grammatical mistakes quoted in OP. Can’t load paper into a printer? Sure. But credit where credit is due: that generation was taught how to spell, read and write.
