In the newspapers, media..etc when it's talked about it's labeled as synthetic marijuana. It is.
They throw the marijuana word in.

It used to be a compound called JWH-018, at least the iteration that was around when I was in HS. It was sold legally as "bonsai fertilizer," and had an affinity for cannabinoid receptors greater than thc. Once they passed legislation making that particular compound illegal they started the process of tinkering with the compound and then further legilsaltion being passed and more tinkering and more legislation. It created a cycle that has left people thinking the current stuff is the same as what was being sold years ago, but now it's a bastardized frankenstein concoction and you really can never know what you're getting.
Like someone else said, this shite is just the natural response to government involving itself where it has no business.

A friend and I used to partake in synthetic a few years back. We bought some new stuff at a shady gas station and went to my house and smoked it. It was the worst experience of my life. I threw up everything I had eaten, and literally couldn't move for several hours. I remember telling myself that it was possible I could die, but there was nothing I could do about it. I couldn't call anyone, I couldn't speak, and I had just resigned myself to lay there until it was over.
Luckily, I was able to fall asleep and wake up the next day. I haven't touched the shite since, and I tell everyone who talks about this stuff my story. Not that my opinion matters, but this is some dangerous shite. You can never truly know what it is you are ingesting, and please tell everyone you know to stay away from that shite.

Saw two people in the hospital from it a few years ago. One kid just stared off into space constantly and couldn't talk anymore. It was like looking at just a living body but nobody was in there. The other was a girl who could still function, but nurses said she was a completely different person. I don't think she had the mental capacity to even take care of herself anymore.

There have always been laws against marketing it with such wording, even when the original stuff was still legal.
