Of course beggars are at interstates. They’re in our front yards around Sherwood Forest and Coursey at times

The northshore is arguably the nicest area of the state. I love it here. Has the NOLA vibe without the NOLA issues. Definitely on the up and up. Not sure what this idiot is talking about.

I’ve seen a beggars two or three times on the I-12 off ramps to 21 and 59. The cops usually run them off pretty quickly tho.

I think 95-2005 was really the peak for Mandeville.

Late 1800's, early 1900's. What a great time. Casinos on the lakefront. Steamboats and / or schooners brought passengers to and fro from New Orleans. The bands on the boats spent the night, but then played a Saturday night gig at the Dew Drop Inn.

That HUGE water slide in the lake. Sturgeon, sharks and manatee on the lake front.

And the 1970's were also pretty cool .

A lot of people that post here are fricking stupid. It usually involves these wanna-be edgy, against the grain type of opinions. But sometimes it’s just plainly stupid.

Anytime anyone wants to do anything in Mandeville, they cross the lake. There are a couple of decent to good restaurants but that’s about it. Mandeville is good for people that don’t what to know their neighbors, drive an hour to work, like to trunk or treat, and do family gras

I see you have no clue what you're talking about, so I'll leave you alone.

He’s so edgy. He’s probably a wannabe yat from Massachusetts.

I know what you meant baw. Mandeville is chock full of people from Nola. There’s absolutely no difference between a white Lakeview resident and a Mandeville resident except one has a bad commute but can use the public schools. Of course it doesn’t have the Nola bars and restaurants but maybe there’s more to a city than it’s bars and restaurants. Maybe the people itself have something to do with the vibe of a city.

Nobody wants to be a “yat”

St. Tammany has its fair share of secrets and a seedy underbelly like any place else. Illicit drug use is probably higher there per capita than the city. Divorce rate is higher and from what a BK lawyer friend there tells me, Chapter 13 bankruptcies.

I don't completely understand what you mean with your little laughing man hieroglyph, since I use the English language. If you're trying to call Jefferson Parish an "edge suburb" or trying to create some equivalence between it and St. Tammany, you're wrong.

Jefferson abuts Orleans and is the most populous parish in the state. St. Tammany, for better or worse, is much more distant and sparsely populated.
