My hometown is unrecognizable now. People begging for $ all over the place. Just left the Fresh Market and some dude approached my car on 190. He asked for $ and I told him “What do I look like, UNICEF?” You could tell he wanted to punch me. RIP Mandeville.

Agree. A lot of older neighborhoods that were nice in the 80s and 90s now look like LaPlace or Slidell.

And traffic sucks.

Don't lie. I was in the car behind you and after you made your UNICEF crack, he responded with "No, you look like a bitch!" and he did smack you.

I gave him 20 bucks for making me laugh.

I’ve never been there, but when I was at LSU (10-12 years ago) everyone from Mandeville made damn sure you knew it. You’d think they were the upper level of society.

If you don’t like your city, please don’t move to Mandeville.

Please.

Was this at the 4 way stop where 190 and 22 intersect?

I had some lasagna from Caesars last night in Mandeville. It was on point.

It was rather pricey, but I had just made 20 bucks for bitch slapping some dude from UNICEF.

I noticed you didn't deny that he called you a bitch and smacked you.

He's likely talking about the people from the Texas Church that come every Christmas. They've been there for the last few days.

One consequence of the expanded medicaid is that more opioids are prescribed than ever before. Doctors (those that do not care) profit from the office visits needed to issue the prescriptions, pharmacies get paid, and "patients" pay next to nothing to support their habit or to replenish the inventory of their illicit drug business.

The pic shows that there were 92 opioid prescriptions written in St. Tammany for every 100 people living there in 2017. That is hard to comprehend. Tangipahoa is worse with 115!!

He said it happened on 190. Do you travel rich people roads or something?

As for the begging, the beggars know that rich people are more apt to give money to them. If the government officials, including city cops and sheriff’s deputies, let beggars panhandle in their city then they will.
