Manatees are the pandas of the sea.

Sea Pandas

Evolutionarily they are at a dead end, but humans think they are cute so nature is overruled.

Sea Cows? The slow vegetarian mammal is frightening and cause to never swim in the water again?

It’s pretty simple. For whatever reason, the man was causing distress to an endangered species. He may not have known the first time he did it, but on the 3rd or 4th time, he should have realized he was causing distress and stopped.

Huh? Manatees would be doing just fine if humans weren’t around.

The dude was throwing some water...on some water. Where water dwelling mammals are.

If a little water hitting the water freaks them out they must lose their absolute shite when it rains.

That guy is a jackass, but I don't think he deserves any legal trouble because of that.

The guy is harassing endangered animals by causing them to think a predator had entered the water.

That's a manatee reaction

"I'm too big and strong to try to eat, piss off, (please believe this, carnivore) look how hard the water gets slapped around."

He then, being a Floridian ( transplant most likely since most Floridians in manatee areas like sea cows), posts this on the internet, which could encourage more people to stress out an endangered species that really only asks to not be hit by boats.

So yeah the judge will probably make em suck some shite on this one.

Things have changed since I was a kid then, that's good news.

However still Threatened and still protected by many laws.

But at least a success story for the conservation of species.
