quote:
"My husband was bailing water out of our boat after a huge storm. Every time he threw the water we saw splashes in the water. I happened to be recording on one of the tosses and we saw huge splashes of water everywhere. We both looked at each other and said 'I will never swim in there again!'" Maria said about what they have witnessed.
The people of the Internet however are not impressed. The massive and frightening disturbance in the water was in fact an aggregation of manatees and now McCormack and her husband are facing up to 60 days in prison for alleged animal endangerment and cruelty.

His shite eating grin before throwing that water out tells you everything you need to know.

Throwing water on an animal that lives in the water
Cruelty
Cruelty

Yeah, that excuse about just bailing water out of his boat is definitely bullshite, but I don't really get what else is going on there. Why are the manatees reacting like that? I don't really see how it could be doing them any harm. They live in water. How is sprinkling water on top like that bothering them?

What is the location of this incident?

Good use of the collective "aggregation" of manatees. Nice work on the article's research there.
Some of my favorite collectives (slightly off topic):
Shadow (of jaguars)
Ambush or Streak (of tigers)
Richness (of martens)
Convocation (of eagles)
Murmuration (of starlings)
Grumble (of pugs)

Where the frick else are the sea cows?

See we don't have this problem in Louisiana. In Baton Rouge for example you can video yourself tying two puppies together then slinging them across the street and our judges will simply look the other way.

How long have you been holding that one perfection

100% he's being prosecuted for harassing an endangered animal, not the "animal endangerment and cruelty" you say.

Manatees hate fake rain.
