This is the stuff of nightmares. Has to be one of the worst ways to go out.

Wood chippers are some very dangerous machines. A branch just has to snag your shirt or pants, and it's over.
There really needs to be two people operating the machine at all times with one standing next to an ESO.

The drum “whisper chippers” are some dangerous mofos. The drive/feed wheel and blades are mounted on the drum and run full speed. You throw limbs in these.
A disc chipper has separate
Drive/feed wheels controlled by a handle bar and are safer, feed slower but can grind some bigger limbs.
