If you want to see why this country is quickly sliding down the gutter go read some of the comments of this story on social media. Half these people
Have to be sub 75 iq. This looks like a bad deal and sorry the guy got killed, but hopefully media doesn’t stir the pot and make things ugly.

Bagley’s wife told officers her husband was drunk and had marijuana in the back of the apartment. She specifically told them there was no domestic violence involved, KTBS' sources said.

What disturbance were cops responding to and who called them? Were they yelling and screaming at each other?

In past a neighbor called in a noise complaint but I wouldn’t think another noise complaint would be labeled a domestic disturbance unless this call was about yelling and arguing that had gotten very loud and obvious. If lady didn’t call it in (before violence but concerned about it) hopefully whoever called it in didn’t exaggerate it for spite or because nothing fixed with prior issue. Domestic Disturbance brings in both need to talk with all parties as well the need for officers showing up to be more alert for possible threats to their own safety in situation that is not involved to same degree with a basic noise complaint. If kids around or involved that multiples threat concern especially since that lady killed those 2 cops in Mississippi after they called for child protection services.

That doesn’t green light shooting people, but it would create a much more dangerous situation for all parties.

Bagley was shot after Shreveport police were called to a domestic disturbance just before 11 p.m. at the Villa Norte Apartments.
It’s unknown who called police, but a neighbor had previously complained about noise coming from the apartment.

No word on when they will release the dash and body cam footage.

Maybe BLM will ship in the paid agitators and will ramp up the protest and start the lootin’ and maybe shootin’ when the footage is released.

Haley & Associates is representing the family. It`s the same firm that is representing Washington in the Brooks case.

There was another shooting this afternoon, 30+ officers still on scene. Not many details released yet but state police are taking over so likely officer involved shooting.

ETA:

Preliminary information indicates after the attempted carjacking at the Family Dollar on Linwood, Shreveport police gave chase and caught up with an individual. That's when a shot or shots were fired.

Carjacking victim shot at Family Dollar, suspect shot at Linwood/Bert Kouns.

ETA: Suspect shot by police. Injuries to both ‘victims’ non-life threatening

So someone hired in 2021 after the nationwide efforts to slander all cops made it exponentially harder to find decent candidates?

left creates problem, I am sure they will have a fix.

That’s a tough video to watch. It’s pretty clear Bagley caught the cop off guard and the cop fire an “oh shite” shot that happened to be fatal.

That cop definitely had images of Blaine Salamoni and Derek Chauvin running through his head.

At work so can’t hear volume but did my man really answer the door with a bottle of fireball or some such in his hand?

According to his wife on the 911 call made because he was threatening them and “clowning,” he was “on that Kentucky Deluxe.”

I feel bad for the young officer. He made a bad decision when he took that thankless job.
You have to be smarter than that.

Was a bad shot for sure. The cop panicked.

The only justifiable time to shoot is when the guy ran into the room and shut that door after being told to stand fast. He coulda grabbed a gun then and came out blazing.

After that guy jumped off the balcony, the cops should have made a report with the lady and left the scene. No one was being threatened at that point.

ETA: The video is clear reminder that cops are being put in positions where the outcome can have them just as dead.

What’s crazy is police depts will start changing up procedure and policy even if not made “public”. I.e. the 911 dispatch will ask for background and race on initial complaint and the PD will send out units that fit the call out. Sounds horrible but that’s the world we’re coming to.

I get what you're saying, but what if he returns and kills someone? The police would look as bad as they do in this horrible situation.

Just listening to the 911 call and seeing the way that place looked inside, you couldn't pay me enough to have to interact with those kinds of people on a daily basis. And I don't just mean black people, I mean trash of every race and color.
