Exactly.
Do people really think seeing what happened to the dude in Memphis is going to make suspects go supine before a cop? It will do the exact opposite.
"Man, that dude didn't do shite and the cops still drug him out of his car and killed him. I ain't letting that happen to me!" is more likely what they are thinking.
Memphis is far from the only one obviously. Just the most recent big event.

this attitude will certainly help cities attract better, more qualified and less “trigger happy” cops
1) there does need to be some form of police reform, but it has very little to do with race (which is where everyone focuses attention
2) body camera are providing transparency so we can prosecute based on actual evidence and not eyewitness accounts or cops own versions
3) mistakes will always happen in any progression. vilifying all cops and making law enforcement the “problem” even during mistakes only makes the problem of hiring qualified LEOs worse
if you want to avoid being part of some of these terrible accidents, not being involved in criminal activity and not actively fighting or running from cops is a great start. no, he shouldn’t have died but he increased his likelihood by a significant amount by running
The people who cry and scream about this stuff the loudest are completely silent when cops get killed. Or even celebrate it. They ARE the problem.

How do the same type of people constantly keep getting shot?
February should be how not to get shot by the cops month?

A scary percentage of the American public sees this as a one-sided issue whereas it is very much a two-sided issue. You cannot have a society that demonizes police while society itself is increasingly misbehaving. While this guy probably didn't deserve to be shot, he would've never had an issue if he didn't turn a non-issue into an ordeal. This is the case with almost every police shooting/major incident. You cannot ask the police to fix itself if you're unwilling to fix yourself.
Hey, the current and future tards that downvote this, you’re part of the problem.

If he could only have waited until next year to die. The democrats would back door millions to fund riots and he would have been a saint.

not sure what you're menstruating about. It's well documented that Soros was overwhelmingly the lead donor to James Stewart's election. Ain't nobody else in the world that gives enough of a shite about Caddo Parish district attorney's race to donate $406,000.

There was no standoff. Bagley was shot within seconds, sources told KTBS.
Was there a scuffle? Did Bagley try to take the gun? Did the cop accidentally discharge? Are they being trained on when it's justified vs not to use their service weapon? Need more info.

Not one of these shootings in the past few years has been based on this.

It the desire not to go to jail for something they know they have done that makes them flee.

Every news worthy cop shooting has been someone who has proven themselves to be a potential hazard...multi-page rap sheets don't lie.
This whole take of yours is BS.

I'm not linking it, but CNN picked the story up 2 hours ago.
The only new detail was that the guy rounded a corner running away and surprised/ran into the officer who pretty much instantly shot.
Then the article goes into the Memphis shooting last month and Ronald Greene death from last year.

For some reason, this one hasn't been promoted by the algorithm. CNN is the only national outlet that's picked it up and Twitter is pretty quiet.

Why do some of you Fricks think this should be a death sentence? Muh back the blue.
Why are you jumping from a 2nd story window after obviously lying to the police?
No one likes bad cops, but criminals outnumber the bad cops in this world.
there is a huge disconnect here, there are people like you, who stick up for the criminal and make policing a much harder job. Since its a shite job, shite people apply. the cycle will repeat itself until both sides treat each other with respect.

It's public knowledge that soros has backed progressive das around the country in the name of systemic racism.
problem is, high crime just leads to more dead black people. So good job saint. you and the rest of the morons continue to be responsible for the decline of the black community and these black cities.

I generally hate cops, and I'm a completely law-abiding citizen.
But I also understand the predicament they are put in when they are chasing or confronting potential criminals in dark alleys, etc., where they don't exactly know if they person is armed.
Many of these cops are young and under-trained. It's just a shitty situation all around.
I have not seen anything about this particular incident, these are just generic comments.

Blown away over a noise complaint and some reefer in his apartment.
Yeah, sounds totally justified.
That seems like an extreme oversimplification.
Even when the cop is completely in the wrong, it's incredibly stupid to run from and/or confront an armed person in a high-stress environment, potentially in the dark.
We can think the cop is at fault, while also recognizing the gene pool has potentially improved. Sneaking out of your window and running from the cops is definite Darwin award material.

A real tragedy. I am sure I will get a ton of pushback on this but maybe new cops shouldn't be carrying guns. Anyone who has ever had a job where things get hairy knows what it is like, the system floods with adrenaline and the brain is working at maybe half speed. This gets better with experience and we should think about having a new cop work the job for a couple of years or so before he carries a gun on his hip.
