I could park my cars in my driveway with the windows down and the fobs in the cup holder without a single thing happening. NO is a town I used to love but now wouldn’t go there if paid to do so

You could say this about most of the larger cities in the South. Let’s see if we can figure out what they all have in common.

So because he's black you automatically assume this? The real racists always come out in these posts, disguised as someone from the other side.

It’s right there by the interstate and there’s really nothing behind it. The trash walks over from the other side of 55.
correct
Hammond is a bifurcated town. I can go weeks without seeing any hood trash just by staying out of the gas stations. Downtown on a Saturday morning at the market is as good as small town America gets. Then there’s this kind of shite...

i’m a 20 yr Hammond resident. There is no fricking way I’d even pull in to the parking lot there much less spend the night. People need to be more aware of the situations they put themselves in.

Victim blaming. How the hell is someone from out of town going to tell that is a "bad" part of town. Looks like a regular street off the interstate; not exactly the Ninth Ward.

Most muggers and car jackers can't legally have firearms.

I mean, if I’m going somewhere I’ve never been, I google map the location of where I’m going to see what’s around. A motel right next to the interstate on a dead end street with nothing around it would be a red flag, especially when there are tons of hotels over by the mall.

Not all of us grew up rich. Ive stayed in red roof inns and other motels.

We traveled around for my soccer tournaments and would stay in motels in places just like Hammond. Might as well cancel every sporting event in these cities because its expected to get murdered at motels.

Ladiarrius needs a bullet to the brain pan. Mop up the mess, charge his mamma for the spent round, and dump the body in the lake.

Ladiarrius was never going to offer anything positive to society anyway.

Exactly but let's not forget he stole it from some idiot that didn't need to secure his weapon when not on his person because stealing is against the law and if it's in my truck locked, or in my dresser drawer in my locked house then it's obvious safe.

This thug likely wouldn't be killing people with (a stolen weapon at least) if other people were responsible firearm owners.

So everyone who leaves their weapon lying around like their dirty socks downvote away.

What a shitbag response. Yea the only reason this guy committed a crime was because someone didn't lock their gun away.

Without that stolen gun, I bet he would have been working for a living
