It's a motel right off the interstate and there's nothing around it. If that's a bad area then the whole town is a shite hole.
It looks fine on google street view. There's a rough looking neighborhood across University Avenue but no one from out of town is going to notice that when they see a motel with nothing around it.
Nice victim blaming. Instead how about Hammond not be a shite hole and instead be a place people can stop at after a drive down I-55 and not get murdered.

He is 18 so he can't buy a handgun legally. Also it had a Glock switch which is a machine gun which is illegal to own by anyone that doesn't have an SOT license.
The frame was a P80 which can be bought by under 21 and use a jig to make the fire control unit without going to an FFL.

There is rumblings on FB that this kid tried holding up another woman not too long ago on the north side of the interstate, which is a bad area. Apparently she gave the video to the sheriff dept and they haven't done anything.
