The other two Bon Marche, and Cortana had a lifespan of about 25-30 years before the started downhill. Mall of LA. and Perkins Rowe should be no different.

Top earner Chick-fil-A was said to have done $2.4 million worth of business that year, while Raising Cane’s did $2 million, Mandarin Express did $1.6 million and Villa Pizza—Smashburger’s neighbor—did $940,000, the lawsuit says.

Those are pretty big mall numbers.

I, for one, love being able to go to 15 different shoe stores to see which has the best price.

There's an app or 50 for that

People on here shitting all over the Mall like this is a localized problem. Brick and mortar stores and malls in general are failing all over the country and it has nothing to do with "culcha." It's because of online retailers. Thats why cities all over the country are trying to find different ways to repurpose these large shopping centers.

Smashburger
was closed yesterday while their neighboring Villa Pizza workers were super busy slinging food to school kids and parents doing school shopping.

And they're bitching about lack of revenue

The mall of LA has become increasingly urbanite. I haven’t been in there but once a year for the past 3 years. Each time i have been, i realize why it’s been a year since i have been back.
It wasn't bad at all yesterday. I had my teenage daughter and her friend with me yesterday and it was very nice environment. Except that motherfricking douche nozzle working the kiosk in front of American Eagle. He follows people and harasses them trying to peddle his wares.

This is the true downfall of the mall. Get rid of the trash peddling garbage from those kiosk.

Smashburger was closed Saturday as well. Just a failed concept.

just reading it's closed for good. There are so many Jersey shore looking greasers working all the jewelry stores and Kiosks in the mall now. I think they're all the same family.

Pretty sure they’re Israeli. My friend came to the US for the first time this year and most normal things were foreign to her. So before I took her to the mall, I explained the kiosks and she immediately said, “Israeli people”.. and I realized they do look it.

This isn't a horrible look. It's completely normal for Malls all over the country to be lying, thieving fricks. Thank God for the internet so I can avoid the dregs of society that still normally frequent there.

I was there Saturday. It was packed with back to school kids.

It was fine. The people shitting on the Mall are the same ones who say "culcha will ruin [insert anything new in BR]". Heaven forbid the Mall is about 60/40 black/white which closely matches the city demographics. I guess black folks are supposed to shop and hangout somewhere else b/c OTers don't like being the minority in public.

The depreciation of The MOL has always been slightly exaggerated on this board.

In April or May 2018, Midsouth executives began to suspect they had been misled after a conversation with a Villa Pizza representative.

Is there a reason they did not do their due diligence and meet with Villa Pizza representatives before May 2018?
