The order should be to shoot on sight.

My background is in meteorology and engineering, and I have worked with the damn forest service helping to plan a prescribed burn. But sure, you know more about this than I do. Its political for you hacks.
Good for you. Do you know my background?
It’s laughable you are sitting here saying there was absolutely nothing that could have helped these become less severe. Laughable.
Again, I’m not suggesting it’s not a disaster and fires don’t happen. But the level of incompetence in their management is laughable.

Good Lord, that's an old office building in rural Ohio. I think it's actually possible it's been looted actually

mean, this is off the charts. Has a single aspect of this ordeal been performed appropriately?
I thought New Orleans during Katrina was bad.
This is next level bad.

How much can it cost to have a few guys go around the city with a pipe wrench and open the hydrants to test them?

Let it go Duke, let the window lickers have their day. They're too dumb to argue with.

The worst wildfire is still at 0% containment and they are talking about "building back" and "stay united".
All while already announcing that anyone involved will get 100% disaster relief.
This is really going to blow back on FEMA for how quick and ready they are to assist.
To talk about building back WHILE your city burns and you have no answers...

Every level of this involved the government and politics. There’s no getting around this. Have you read this thread for examples? Trying to act like it’s not political because they did things correctly, is literally supporting the politics involved.
1.) cut the fire departments staffing budget over and over- government- politicians
2.) cut the fire department budgets- politics
3.) permitting and planning for controlled burns- government - politics
4.) permitting for new homes and water supply- government
5.) lack of water pressure due to green movements without a back up plan- government
6.) homeless setting fires- government
ETA: 7.) major DEI hiring practices at top levels of leadership instead of hiring the best for the job- politics
If you accept that strong winds and dry climate should be acceptable to allow a major metro to burn down to the ground, I feel bad that’s you. I expect better.
