17 Water will back up on the Abita River flooding most of the area between Highway 190 and Gighway 36. The river will be at the undercarriage of the east Boston Street bridge.
15 Water on east Boston Street and on Louisiana Highway 21 east of the river will make driving hazardous. Low- lying areas near the Bogue Ralaya and Abita Rivers will flood.
13.5 Homes along River Bend Road will flood. Water will be in the ground floor classrooms of Christ Episcopal School.
12 River Bend Road will be under water threatening adjacent homes. Bogue Falaya River Park and Christ Episcopal School grounds will remain flooded.

I think places south of I-12 were more affected by the lake backing up the river during Isaac. There were streets flooded in Madisonville yesterday from the heavy winds out of the south, but today they were mostly dry.

I used to live just upstream of 22 in Madisonville. I had 59-1/2" of water in my condo for Issac. Started coming inside about 6 Wed morning and wasn't out until mid-morning Saturday. It was largely a wind driven event.

I now live outside of Folsom and got bombed today. The Bogue Falaya was higher than anyone in my area has ever seen it. Much higher. Areas flooded that "never flood". All I can say is that between about 4 and 6 this morning it rained as hard as I've ever seen it rain. It was unbelievable. The water came up about 2' or 2-1/2' in 1-1/2 or 2 hours.

I need to move to a mountain top.

Dude, amen. First time I've ever went that way, it was so easy. I'm going to go back up that way next time I go to Ruston. 167 sucks arse

I go up there for work a lot. A co-worker keeps telling me 167 is better. I actually tried 167 again because I'd not been that way in forever, it literally took at least 30- 45 more min easy. I can make it in about 3 and 1/2 hours from BR to Ruston the 61/425 way.

Not only is 167 a longer trip, it's littered with police and state troopers. I saw 2 cops the whole trip on 425/61 and only 1 was actually set up to catch speeders.

Was it the one parked between two trees, around a turn? I can't remember the name of the city. But every time I made that drive he was there.

On which road? I saw one on 61 south shortly after re-entering LA, probably about 45 mins out of West Fel. But on 167, there's ALWAYS one behind a tree around the turn in Dodson, LA. He also sits right after the speed limit goes 60 to 45.

They never said the name of the gas station though.
L&W One Stop. Friends right down road from there have 3' water in house. That's only about 5 min from me. Thankfully the water has drained really well around me. Not so lucky for everyone else

Another record crest looks to fall, this time on the Comite, folks in Central should plan accordingly. This tops '01 & '83
