Start a return and reorder. I assume you have enough available balance to afford a 2nd 28" TV. What are they, $100?

I've been ordering alot of things lately from Best Buy and typically the shipping times have been quicker than Amazon's

Sorry you can't order on the internet.
there is a section is the shipping address different from the billing address

Surprised they haven't gone out of business.
It probably won't be long now. Another victim of Amazon and such.

Can you not just cancel the order and start over?

I ordered a 28' TV from Best Buy and the online status said it would be ready in one hour for curbside pickup. 6 hours later, its status remained the same. So after calling the store, I was put on hold for about 20mins after they searched for the item. Ultimately they never found it and the store manager gave me a 32' that was a better brand for the same price.

She's gonna be saying this a lot more.
As a new father this comment both amuses and scares the ever living shite out of me.

Are they using a 1992 system?
You made the mistake but it's Best Buy's fault. Too funny and typical.
Your God Bezo didn't have it in stock? Guess Best Buy won that battle.

Congrats. And you have 14 or 15 years to work on your gun collection, and practicing your cold stare.

So instead of getting mad at Best Buy. Acknowledge it is your fault and your fault alone. No one is required to fix your mistakes. When it comes to your place, ship it to her. Pay the difference and chalk it up as a learning experience.

Not sure I remember a company that has gone in such an opposite direction with respect to customer experience and service as Best Buy has over the last 20 years.
DirectTV laughs at this statement

Five calls later the people at Best Buy cannot cancel or modify the order even though it was not even scheduled to ship yet.
because if you read the fine print on the order receipt you will see you purchased it from a 3rd party entity and not from best buy. most of the big box stores do this now, you have to make sure you read on the purchase agreement in the fine print who it is you are actually buying it from.
and more good news is if its damage or doesnt work right you get no help from best buy and you are on your own to get satisfaction from the seller who could be anywhere, even not in this country
now all that said, in most cases if you use the tracking number info to check on its progress most have a feature to reroute it to a different address so maybe that will work for you

I went inside Best Buy last week to look at laptops for my sons who are entering High School. They had a line when you went in that led to a girl with a tablet. She asked what department you were going to shop in, and was supposed to take your information for the sales people, so they would be notified to talk to you once they were free with existing customers.
I wandered around the computer section for about 15 minutes and there were some sales people who would finish with someone, then move on to someone else. I finally went back to the tablet girl and asked her how many people were in front of me. She looked me up by the identificaiton info she put down for me "tall guy in blue shirt". Are you freaking kidding me? She didn't take down my name to call out, or a cell number they could text to...she wrote down "tall guy in blue shirt".
ETA...I wound up buying to Thinkpads direct from Lenovo.

I’ll pick the tv up from your house and deliver it to her. I’ll just need a little something from her in return
