Lunch lady just asked me if I wanted undercooked meat?

I’m getting a gyro.
The lady looks at me. “It is only warm. It isn’t hot yet. Do you still want it? It will be 5 minutes till it’s hot”
“Umm, is it safe?”
“I.... would wait”
Still hasn’t reached a safe temperature yet. She keeps stabbing a thermometer into it and shaking her head.
At least she gave me an option.

Many diets these days are an attempt to transition back to how our ancestors ate. Maybe she just thinks that makes it fine to serve undercooked meat.
