Apparently happened at 3am

“An LSU student is reportedly on life support after she was hit by a vehicle while standing in the middle of a roadway on Sunday, Jan. 15, according to authorities.

LSU’s Tiger TV identified the student as sophomore Madison Brooks, a member of the Alpha Phi sorority.”

“It is with great sadness that we learned that one of our students, Madison Brooks, passed away on January 15. This is a tragedy for all of us at LSU, especially Madison’s family, friends, sorority sisters, and classmates. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of them as they go through this extremely difficult time and begin the grieving process.
Any of her friends and classmates who would like to speak with someone about this or needs help processing this loss can contact the Mental Health Service in the Student Health Center at 225-578-8774. The Student Health Center will be open tomorrow for the start of the spring semester.”

The middle of the road is no place to be drunk at 3am.

Middle of the road alone at 3am isn't the place for a young woman to be. Hopefully she recovers.

That’s a terrible situation. Could you imagine being the driver of that car?
Foolish and stupid to be in the road at that time.

I hope she pulls through. Does anyone know why she was in the middle of the road?

Was the Brister situation similar? I can’t remember. Obvious part that was different is that he drove away

Were the areas close by?

I’ve often thought about how many times I stumbled while black out, or at least brown out, after 2am through tiger land and down bright side to get back to my place in beau pre while I was in college.

It’s an absolute miracle I was never robbed or hit by a car.

I was going to point out that there’s a ton of foot traffic on Burbank, assuming this happened around the E Boyd area.

But it didn’t. Article says she was near Pelican Lakes. That’s a 55 mph speed zone and a fricking terrible place to be crossing the road on foot at any time of day. It’s also not exactly a good area.

There are always drunk kids in the road over there, really bad after game days, and not much light in many spots so it's very hard to see them. Surprised this doesn't happen more often.

Dumbass anchor man “alpha fee”. No fricktard, it’s pronounced “fye”. You don’t even know how to pronounce the Greek alphabet?

I sincerely hope the family was notified before Tiger TV decided to break the news.

By that specific group? Cause I’ve never heard a Pi Beta Phi call herself a Pi Beta “fee”. Nor did the Omega Psi Phis call themselves Omega Psi “Fees”

Would putting a paved sidewalk on one or both sides with street lights all the way down be a good idea or bad? Good idea if someone walks it. Bad idea as you don’t want to encourage walking Burbank drunk
