Useless cirriculum is useless.
Eventually this will be expanded to a Major and morons will spend tens of thousands of dollars for a degree in it. The degree will end up doing little for them other than making them the head barrista at Starbucks.
And then they'll bitch about their student loans.
Colleges need to limit these subjects to either a class within a field (sociology, psychology, etc) or a discussion within a class. Making it an actual Minor or Major infers that the degree is in demand by the marketplace and thus it's a worthwhile financial investment.
It's not. It never has been and it never will be.

Only if the classes are already embedded in the flow chart required for a given major. Scissoring isn't in any of the curriculum yet.

Long ago I took a Women’s and Gender Studies class just to fill an elective. It was so utterly useless. The teacher at one point gave this long spiel about how NO ONE ever deserves to be raped. No one was disagreeing with her about that but she had to make sure we all knew that.

I remember when UL-Lafayette did this a few years ago, fans from other in-state universities gave us all kinds of shite about our school.

On a more serious note, though, it’s tough to think up a more useless minor/major being offered at a Louisiana university.
Combine this with a major in politics science or philosophy, and have fun with your new job as a cashier at Starbucks or being a floor “manager” at some store in a mall, until some Democrat politics finally hires you on their paid staff six years later making 35k a year.
