If the government wants to make you a criminal, they can find a way to do so

I have a buddy that’s a sergeant in this troop down here in Lake Charles. The amount of drug busts they have every day in that stretch between the Texas line and LC is pretty incredible.

Sounds like they had a tip something was coming through and they were pulling people over for any reason, hoping to catch them.

You are driving a car/truck that looked like the one they were looking for....Drug interdiction as it's been said already. As soon as they ran your tags they knew it wasn't you...so instead of saying "These are not the droids you're looking for" they issued the warnings. Were they verbal warnings or actual paper warnings?

Also, LSP Troop D is pissed because of the whole LASE detail stuff....and how it went down...

Pulled over three times.

Why the frick should he be pulled over three times in that small area of the interstate? They are CLEARLY trying to look for revenue. Everyone knows how stressful it is to be pulled over.

Cops need to have fun, too. They were radioing ahead a BOLO and seeing how many times they could pull you over.

That's just like an ignorant Texan. Build a wall in the middle of the Sabine River.

It's the combo of that decent stretch of road and little traffic in the middle of the night usually.

As an added bonus, you can't see the countryside in the middle of the night. There's just something about that stretch West of Jennings that always feels bleak.

I get a ticket almost every time I run that stretch. The only reason cops care that people are speeding is because it's a chance to give someone a ticket. Otherwise, they don't give two shits. They all speed too

What should bother us all is 20 troopers, each with about $50k in equipment, are sitting there on our dime doing this shite!
Those few hours doing that probably cost the state about $5k in salaries and gas.

Troopers doing this crap are a joke

You "revenue" boys are missing the fact that he was issued a warning all three times.

OP probably matched the description of a vehicle known to be trafficking drugs.

Multiple agencies will share data/intel on expected couriers passing through each other's jurisdictions.

I agree that local municipal cops are glorified "revenue generators" for their cities but the actions by LSP last night point towards an effort to interdict a large shipment of drugs.

LSP does plenty of revenue generating

It's just become a lot more blatant since the economy went in the shitter

Joke's on them. The drugs weren't in the car. They were shoved up OP's arse.
