LSP tactics last night. A little over the top

I was traveling home from Houston to BR last night. At about midnight I crossed into La. Between the state line and Lake Charles I saw no less than twenty troopers. In that distance I was pulled over three times and let go with warnings.
#1- I was in the right lane with no cars in sight to the front and rear of me. I came upon two Troopers parked side by side on the shoulder. As I got closer I went into the left lane to give them a wide berth as you’re supposed to. As I got next to them one trooper immediately turned on his lights and took off in the right lane. Assuming he was going somewhere else I stayed in the left lane as to not impede him. Once he got near me he pulled in behind me and pulled me over. He said I was in a passing only lane as marked with signs. I explained why I went to the left lane. He wasn’t hearing it. Did a check on me and let me go.
#2- About five miles down the road I’m in right lane cruise control on at 70 not taking any chances. Troooer is passing me in left lane then slows, drops behind me and pulls me over. He says my plate is partially obstructed by dealer installed license plate bracket. Only top half of the word Louisiana is showing. Checks all my paperwork and let’s me go.
#3- Just West of Lake Charles. Again no traffic to speak of. The road is very dark. I’ve noticed on this car the hi beams come on when it’s dark and the lights are reflecting off road signs. It’s does this randomly. Anyway there is a troooer in a median crossover. He pulls me over for illegal use of high beams. Never heard of that. Checks me out and again a warning.
I know that they are looking for anything suspicious to score a drug bust but damn that was just over the top.

This I-10 you're speaking of? because if so I don't believe you.

This is why we are considering the wall at the I-10 border.

It was nearly 1:00 am by then

Police tatics like that are just fricking disgusting. They're only looking to make revenue. frick protecting and serving. If the parish needs more revenue, raise taxes. Don't take it from the citizens you're supposed to fricking protect.

Honestly driving on I-10 Eastbound from the Texas line through about Iowa from midnight through about 4AM is about the most optimal driving you can do on I-10 anywhere in the state of LA. It's the combo of that decent stretch of road and little traffic in the middle of the night usually.

Why can't you just follow the law, be thankful you got warned 3 times, not 3 tickets like you deserved.

No but I’ve gone there. Does that count?

It amounts to about the same thing. They will only write tickets to people that will pay them because it cost them money to write tickets and then fight to collect (which the don't do anyway). The taxes will only effect the people that pay them which are basically the same people that pay the tickets.....so basically the same thing.

No, apparently he got off with warnings.

Yeah, but if someone has to pay multiple taxes, that doesn't affect their driving record and insurance rates.

This is a business operation. Your tax dollars finance the finding of more very loosely connected drug money/property (often without charges or proof), which gets reinvested into the community via new officer hires, jails, prisons, SWAT armored personnel carriers, and warrantless surveillance equipment.
Hopefully you thanked these guys for their service to the community.

It's such a fricking joke how much of a cop presence we have on the interstate compared to other states
You rarely see Texas cops parked along the I-10 east corridor to the state border and once you cross into LA you see about three troopers within 5 miles
Louisiana may as well have a sign up that says, "we need your money"
