LSP Superintendent Mike Edmonson’s future...

Louisiana State Police Superintendent Mike Edmonston finds himself in hot water over misuse of public money, labor, facilities, etc throughout his time as HNIC. It’s been posted and discussed here a few times in the last week with multiple personal stories and observations from many different posters. Supposedly, the FBI is also investigating him for all this theft and malfeasance in office. It’s not good when the Feds are also looking into it. Theoretically, the Good Ol Boy network Louisiana is famous for won’t be able to sweep it under the rug, hidden from the investigating federal authorities. That being said, the list of guilty people in powerful positions getting away scot free is pretty damn long. So, what’s the future hold for Edmonson?? Do you think he’ll eventually be convicted and find himself on the wrong side of the prison gates? Does this all get forgotten about since he’s out of office and no longer committing these acts? That would be quite a fall from grace, going from being chief lawman of Louisiana to a federal inmate. What’s the OT think?
My money is on this will make headlines for a month or so and the Feds will find evidence of wrongdoing, but not prosecute for one reason or another and he’ll be allowed to fade into the sunset with all his money.

What they have on him is peanuts as to what they could uncover if they really looked harder into all the state contracts.
Nothing will happen. The superintendent has probably been doing this long before he took over. He may have to reimburse the state and some of the troopers still there will likely have to resign. Other than that, his retirement is protected and he will probably make more money working in the private sector than he did as superintendent without all the hassle and stress.

He will get a slap on the wrist and in two years will be working as a consultant for a security firm or maybe even the state.
If we could pay for 20 or so Lee Zurich types to go around digging for crap, I would love for them to look into every damn Sheriffs department in this state. I know LSP was bad, but these sheriffs are filthy

What irks me is how fricking blatant it all was. It’s like he dared anyone to question him. If he’s so that in the open, I can only imagine what he did behind closed doors.
