It was publicly known that he and his family were living in the house on the compound for free. Why is this becoming an issue now? Someone should have brought it up day one. He probably also got a car allowance and put it all in his pocket and used a state vehicle. What was the most blatant was when he got legislators to rewrite the retirement rules for him so his retirement would be based off the superintendent salary instead of what he locked into before and the public got word of it and everyone was like how'd that slip in here.

The feds are all about headlines. Edmonson is a pretty big fish in that regard. Their MO is to get people to roll over on others involved who have more newsworthy names. That being said I doubt Edmonson is going to be able offer them anymore newsworthy than himself. So the buck probably stops there. I bet he gets charged, convicted, sentenced, commuted, and ends up consulting for a Louisiana PAC.

They will get him on tax evasion. All of those perks that he enjoyed should have been claimed on his taxes. They should be able to convict on that charge very easily from how it sounds.

Yes he does.

He deserves what the average citizen would get.

So it’s ok to do bad/illegal shite as longs as it’s not the worst/most illegal shite?

Wow, you are a god damn genius

I dont think first offense, non violent criminals should get serious jail time, buts thats just me. I think they should be given a small amount of time and then fricked with by doing community hours and whatnot. But thats just my opinion..

Honestly him and his ilk can rot in hell.

What kind of man goes back 20 years to find out if someone swapped over their insurance from La to Tx and then if they did expects them to have proof they did it correctly? Oh, wait...and the states of Tx and La nor the insurance company has records that go back that far....

I tell you what kind...a money hungry bastard.

But Mr Mike Edmonson....I see what you did...and you didn't know that I was a paper work hoarder...and you wanted proof...you got proof. But your true colors showed. But it wasn't on my back, you POS.

I've dealt with shrewd government officials and even credit companies....all were willing to work with people over shorter times....but this jackass wouldn't deal with someone over a 20 year old process....a normal person would have had to pay the fine...but I keep papers. He lost that game.

Mike was body guard for Sabin and Les before being promoted to commander of LSP. So he should get a pass.

He did sideline duty at LSU for 27 years. That still doesn’t give him a pass.

My money is on this will make headlines for a month or so and the Feds will find evidence of wrongdoing, but not prosecute for one reason or another and he’ll be allowed to fade into the sunset with all his money.

Unfortunately these top dog government officials get to retire with full lucrative big pensions no matter what they are caught with. As far as the fbi putting him away, I’ll believe it when I see it. They’re corrupt too.

And If the Advocate really wanted to dig shite up and piss off the OT, they should look into his taking of DOTD funds.

I would love for them to look into every damn Sheriffs department in this state. I know LSP was bad, but these sheriffs are filthy.

That's why Edmonson was hand-picked by the Louisiana Sheriffs' Association.
