The jury for Edwin W. Edwards must not have got the message not to convict. Edmonson's biggest problem will be tax evasion, much of what he was doing should have been taxed as income, juries generally don't look favorably on tax evasion.

This guy had us all fooled...thought he was an honorable person but seems he is a habitual liar who was as greedy as one can get. Stealing from us taxpayer, especially in the role that he was in, is pathetic.
Double dipping on laundry benefits, using state troopers to escort his wife and mother-in-law to shopping trips and concerts all over Louisiana, having free meals delivered to the taxpayers' house he was unauthorized to be living in for 11 years, paying for only half of the meals he's eaten at the State Police Cafateria during his tenure, and he lied about his knowledge of the Las Vegas fiasco. And now he's blatantly lying again because HE is the one who leaked the report by the legislative auditor to WWL News. He's setting himself up for a defense that he can't get fair treatment due to the public finding out about his indiscretions before he could review them.. what a piece of shite man to drag the whole State Police's credibility down like he's done. Rot in a jail cell you greedy shithead!

Do we know this for sure that he’s the one that leaked them? I did see somewhere where it was his copy that was leaked but I didn’t know the details.

Having a pretty good inside knowledge of what kind of POS this guy is, I'd be equally as happy to see him lose his entire pension and have to start all over. He manipulated the system in getting that pension for himself. He deserves nothing and should have to pay back every dime plus interest that he took. I mean, seriously, the guy received a dry cleaning stipend and still send his dry cleaning to the Governors Mansion to be done for free so he could pocket the stipend.

People laugh about that stipend thing but I keep saying it is one of the more serious things he did because it is blatant theft. Much more so than using an inmate to walk his dog or cut his grass. I can tell you that if Edmonson has caught a road Trooper stealing that cleaning stipend he would have fired and prosecuted the guy in two seconds. Yet he did it himself for years on end. They really should fry him on that.

Looks like they are having fund drives now.
. Currently there is a brake tag checkpoint on the veterans exit of i10, two hours ago they were at causeway.
Four cars pulled over between loyola and veterans. At same time.
(Also all drivers were out their car, still never see anyone stay on their car when pulled over by LSP)
