Lowe’s customer service

Our dryer goes out last night, so I hopped online to look for Black Friday deals. The dryer I wanted was marked down $200 at Lowes and the sale ended at midnight, so I made the purchase and decided to pick it up myself today.
As you may know, dryers don’t really weigh all that much (150lbs or so) and I knew I could dolly it into my house by myself. However, I didn’t realize that Lowe’s would simply roll it to the front of the store and send me on my way. I used their dolly to get it out to my truck and then I was able to lift it in once I got it leaned against the tailgate.
I have never once had an associate help me load lumber, sheetrock, or - now - an appliance at this location.
Your local big box hardware also probably goes out of their way to hire retards and the otherwise unemployable, so lack of helpful knowledge is to be expected. But when did they stop helping load heavy items?

Did you ask? They definitely have loaders that will help you if you ask. Now how busy they are or if one is available is a different story

I rarely get help from Lowes when needed, you have to ask. I was in our local one today, looking at gutter parts and trying to figure out what I needed, and an employee walked by, and I waved to him to ask him something, and he never broke stride and walked right past me.
They only stay in business because of what they sell.

Our local store has a motorized lift. You back up to it and it elevates up and rolls right into your truck bed. I saw someone have a stove loaded this way.

A couple months ago, Lowe's workers loaded 30 paver stones onto my cart, pushed the cart to the checkout counter and then loaded them into my SUV, all without me asking for help. Maybe you just have a resting dick face.

I couldn't tell you how many times I've helped people load heavy shite in the Lowes/Home Depot parking lot. It seems like every time I'm there I see somebody struggling to load something.

go back and shite in one of the toilet displays. That'll learn em!

I rather them not help.

I’ve helped folks doing the same.
It’s insanity.

A couple of weeks ago I ran into Lowes in Covington to pick up one thing. I see an associate walking down an aisle and I ask him where the particular item I am looking for was located. He just stops and stares at me for a moment, and didn't say anything. I could tell he was stoned out of his gourd so I said something like "be careful playing with nail guns" and went on my way to find the item myself.
That's all I got. I may go into a "big box" hardware store maybe two or three times a year. I try to always use my local hardware store as much as possible.

shite could have slipped them a $20 and they’d have brought it to your house and installed it.

Sounds like you had it handled.
You really want to get no help go to Home Depot. It's the special ed of hardware stores.

My local Home Depot and Lowes are less than helpful. Anything worth more than $50 it seems is locked up these days. Needed some romex, gotta track down someone and have them unlock it. Bought a dewalt chainsaw today, had to find someone to unlock it.
Inevitibly the first idiot you find says "I'll call someone". . . then you never hear from that idiot again. Sometimes the second idiot is useful, sometimes the third, sometimes I leave without what I need.
And don't get me started on the parking lot situation. No clue how my local Home Depot has any contractors willing to pick up with trailers. The parking lot seems its built for these sissy electric cars anymore.

American Freight installed our washer and dryer on the second level of a house for 45 bucks.

Keep buying everything at the big box stores instead of the mom & pop stores.

Someone purchased a $100 Visa Gift card from Lowe's as a Christmas gift for me but it never worked. I had the receipt so I brought it back and the customer service rep at Lowe's in Carencro stayed on the phone with Visa for well over an hour trying to help me out. They couldn't figure out why it wasn't working so they just gave me another.
