Police now reporting they exchanged shots with the shooter.

Unsure if they hit him or he killed himself.

They said he was previously employed at the bank.

Can we profile some others while we are at it?

How about cops just start profiling people in certain neighborhoods they drive through to pull over randomly. It's the same stereotype every time

Social media is raising children instead of their parents. Most parents who grew up without social media were raised by parents who likely taught them to be tough and to “man up” and not cry etc.

Now their kids are watching some weirdo on tik tok tell them that their emotions are normal and that their parents shouldn’t be telling them this which is causing the children to grow up resenting their parents.

Emotions are normal, and it is okay to feel them and act on them, but parents need to be able to teach children how to cope with them civilly. Instead we have people grooming them on social media, and at school.

This is absolutely false.

When they are performing their obligatory military service, it is required. Aside from that, they have one of the highest rates of gun ownership in the world. No mass shootings.

Something tells me you don't want to profile hand guns.

when will this end?

when we quit pandering to mentally ill people. Either lock these frickers up or get tougher on them. They are soft and weak. Instead of INSISTING they get help, we pander to them and tell them how pitiful/special they are and continue to feed their victim mentality.

we have to be tougher on people- ie MASCULINE- and quit with the Oprah-style coddling of everyone's feelings. All we do is feed these fricking losers' need for attention.

So he just grabs his KelTec 9mm and goes to town.

Someone at the bank “wronged” him, and he couldn’t deal with emotions.

I'm pretty sure that's what we heard on those videos posted earlier, the return shots (it was definitely two different firearms).

The glass was also completely busted out of the front of the bank building.

"Gun control" coupled with "wide open border" has to be the dumbest combo imaginable.

great - defunded police, reduced rights, and a free flowing supply to criminals - I feel safer just thinking about it

So how would you prevented him from grabbing an AR? What is your suggestion?

Who determines who should be locked up? Therein lies the rub. Where's the line to detain someone in that way? And if its government entities that are deciding, that becomes a very slippery slope very quickly.

It's worth noting, even after the Breonna Taylor case here, they never defunded LMPD. Their budget was increased by metro council.

I agree with that too. Just because I don't want mentally ill scrawny whites having guns doesn't mean I want blacks with giant rap sheets having them either. Dumbasses

My bad! I mean yes, certainly he could still have done that. It just seems those are a whole lot more rare than shootings so I tend to think we’d be better off making that trade. But I understand your point

I really think these mass shootings have a bit to do with the copycat syndrome.

All of these folks are suicidal anyways. They've already decided they want to die because their lives suck. So they decide to do a heinous act where they finally have power over other people to make themselves finally feel good about their shitty lives.

I feel like it's a self-serving cycle now. A psychopathic mentally deranged person watching the news just got an idea for how they can end their life in a blaze of glory. Everytime it happens, somebody else just got inspired.

I truly don't know how to make it stop. The cat's already out of the bag. I do believe we should stop publicizing the shooter in these situations. Once they are dead/arrested. The public doesnt need to know their name, we don't need to see their pictures online. We don't need an interview with their family and friends. We don't need their life story. We don't need their motive. Allow the police to do their investigation and that be the end of it.
That won't eliminate it, but hell, perhaps it can deincentivize some of these psychos from committing these acts if they know they will still die in obscurity with nobody knowing their names.
