Just staying out of the trailer parks in that area raises your life expectancy 2.69 years.

NLC isn't that bad anymore.
The real bad areas are Oak Park, the Terrace, and Car Shop.

Isn't Manchester (corner of S Harrells Ferry and O'Neal) in StG? It's more ghetto back there than Siegen.
Before the low income/Section 8 St Jean Apartments were built right there in the late 90's, I distinctly remember Jay's Donuts' sign out front was the voice of dissent. He was telling everyone around there that it would destroy the area. Still, somehow these shite apartments were thrust into the area despite immense objection. Obviously his arguments fell on deaf ears.
Had StG been around then, would the same shenanigans have gone down? Or was it a sole property owner's decision? I always wonder how these types of developments come to fruition.

Hopkins St. is the most notorious in New Iberia.
Deare St. is underrated for being dangerous.
Anderson and Mississippi St.are adventurous.

I know a former LC Cop and he has stated 5th Ave. and Johnson Hall area off of Louisiana Ave. is the worst areas in Lake Charles... North LC around 171 is relatively quite...And the Wal Mart employees in North LC, to me, are the nicest Wal Mart employees in any WM store I have visited...

White Oleander Circle in Lake Charles is dangerous.

In Shreveport, it's Clanton St. The post office suspended mail delivery to houses on this street because of danger.

You still have a pretty good chance of dying. Have you driven down that street. It’s a nightmare of bad drivers and cars going too fast.

Denver is an exception. There are definitely lots of rough streets there but MLK is a really nice area.

Well, by reputation for the area, it was Sprague Street. But if you really knew you did not dare walk down Dale Avenue in Benton.

honestly, bourbon might be the most dangerous when it comes to being a victim of a "random" act of violence if you're just minding your own business.
obviously, there are others that are more dangerous to walk down at night, but a normal person would never do that.

I never would have guess LC has the problems it does until a couple hundred were put in hotels near my office in the CBD after Laura. Those people were the worst.
