From watching LivePD, the women require backup at least 90% of the time. They're just not cut out to be overpowering and aggressive at a moments notice. They do, however, provide benefit when dealing with searches of women, and calming some suspects down.

Diversity just for the sake of diversity makes zero sense to me. The people that hate cops hate the black ones too.

About 25 years ago, there was a trooper who was working a detail at a construction project on the elevated portion of I-55. He was parked at the start of the construction zone in his Crown Vic with his light bar flashing. Some a-hole plowed into him and trapped him in his car as it burned. Apparently his vest provided some thermal protection to his torso, but his extremities were severely burned and he died a few days later. It was a very bad deal.
I believe he was Asian, Vietnamese to be specific.

I know this won't be popular but we need way more black and female cops. You meed people that live in the communities policing those neighborhoods. It just gives the citizens a better piece of mind and the cops are more understanding of the people there. It always been that way..

Like the black female security guard in Houston who refused to help the white police officer subdue a black perp who kept reaching for his gun during the struggle, and just walked around filming the scene on her cellphone, surely as a sign of solidarity with the "struggle"?
