I guess they’re thinking people won’t think the white or black Charger with bull bar sitting stationary in the median is a copperhead.
I will say though that in a world where everyone drives a white or black Charger with a bull bar……maybe they’d see some return on their efforts then. Maybe.

Keeping us safe one inspection sticker at a time.

new color-scheme for LA State Police
It’s not a new color scheme. It is their heritage car used only for promotional events and recruiting. Reflects back to the late 80’s, when they had Mustangs running the interstate.

I wasn’t aware LA changed its state trooper car.
Usually they’re white. That’s an entirely different look I’ve never seen before.

That’s got nothing on the ghost coloration

I have to drive through a couple towns nearby frequently that have dark cruisers with dark lettering. You can’t spot them until you are right up in them. Pisses me off every time.

Michigan with the old school single light.

Alabama’s look pretty good.

Dark colors are great parked on duty in the summer sun. Run that AC.

what actual goal could it *successfully* achieve??
more traffic tickets = more money
basically using a technicality to get away with entrapment on the highways.

Entrapment?

Cary (Centralized area of relocated yankees), NC has a few of these around.

The Chargers and whatever Ford it is they have are ugly as hell to me. But the new Tahoes and the pickups they have look cool.

yeah, that's probably wrong legal term (not sure what the proper term would be), but you know what I mean.
they do it to intentionally blend in so they can catch speeders, etc. and write more tickets to bring in more money.
if they wanted to actually get people to follow traffic laws, they would be in the most obscenely decorated car on the road to stick out like a sore thumb.
everyone would know they were there and would do the speed limit, use turn signals, etc.
but that doesn't bring in any money, so they don't do it that way.
they do it in a way where "technically" they are in plain sight in a marked car.
but it's done in a way to try to make you think they aren't there so you're more likely to break a traffic law and they get to write you a citation.

That photo is perfect. Just enough going on in the background without taking away from the car.

I meant I don’t understand what could be reasonable goal for going white on white and black on black with the decals. I suppose the obvious guess would maybe to be more discreet in their hunt for speeders, but that most obvious guess ironically seems to be the least likely to make good sense.
