What happened to tailgating at your house before games?

The only problem I have is that the parade grounds are or were trashed and left that way by the Greeks. Haven't been over there in a few years so they may have started cleaning it up before they go to the game. They for sure needed a few more trash cans. The high schoolers all drink on the steps of the union and not one of them pick up their beer cans and solo cups. They just walk around on top of the trash. But none of it seems violent or unsafe other than underage drinking.

Typical politician. They have to be involved in everything and have an answer for everything.

Not what I saw on Friday nights 7-8 years ago when we still tailgated.

They were only on the parade grounds because they were banned from having the parties at their houses FFS IIRC.

When I read it I burst out laughing. This guy has no clue. The frats are only there because they were forced there. If they could be at the house they would be.

I bet LSU is for this. They can sell all those sweet parade ground spots to that corporate tailgate part enter and charge people to tailgate there.

And it also kind of seems like a setup. Let the frats back to the houses, catch one of them jaywalking, then kick the frat off the campus. Then they aren’t tailgating on the parade grounds or at the house.

You realize this is code for “stay by the law center” so the undesirables don’t take it over. Not a bad strategy

think that’s his goal, but most people are going to miss that fact, and assume he’s targeting fraternities or the Parade Grounds as a problem on game days.

Then he should just come out and say it. Because it looks exactly like

he’s targeting fraternities or the Parade Grounds as a problem on game days

No need for 4D chess from him. Be direct. “Hey LSU, the Greek tailgates on the Parade grounds was a stupid idea. Let them TG at their houses as it should be. And clean up the hood rat shite on your campus.”

That’s all he needs to say.

Is there that much of a demand for this?

I see some corporate tailgates, but not that many.

With what the campus and gameday experience has become, I doubt they're selling out.

Another season or two of CBK and you won’t have to worry about over crowding on game day.

Been a season ticket holder since 87, and I know every season can't be 19. Hallman years were pretty bad...

That said, the gameday experience and campus was always awesome.

The last few years, the experience has changed for the worse. Very clearly, LSU views the paying fans much like airlines view passengers; a necessary evil.

It is really professional football now, and it is more like a Saints' game than a college football game.

Sorry for the rant; it's raining.

Are there even people who officially roam around the parade grounds to make sure the shenanigans don’t become dangerous?

Certainly not when I was there.

Cameron was at Nicholls and is a Tulane MBA alum. Was a Sigma Nu at Nicholls. I think he transferred to LSU before graduating with his undergrad.
I guess as a future politician, he needed to check all the boxes.

LSU uses Revelry to handle paid tailgates. They are pretty full at both CEBA and Nicholson gateway.

They could add additional spots on the parade ground and charge even more for being in the center of campus.

Tailgate at the house and let the pledges save seats. Worked for years as traditional values were understood.

Long live Murphy’s, White Horse, Faps, Pedro’s, and UDC…Ugly date contests

WHY? What does it matter? What's wrong with them being closer to the Stadium on the parade grounds?. Be specific...
