It's cold outside. Jesus. I walked around the house just now to check on everything.

Anyone else look at that bridge and think how fun an old trash can lid and being 12 again would be?

I can't help but remember the ice storms as a kid and how they were some of the best memories and how much fun we had

now as an adult, I just can't help but realize just how stressful it was for my parents

but I'm trying to stay positive and have fun with my kids so they too can remember this time with fondness

pulling my kids around in a makeshift sled yesterday made for a nice workout

Everything is white in the Birmingham area. Most places have a good dusting of snow. More than anyone thought we’d get around here.

Still coming down south of Tuscaloosa. Been light but steady all morning.

Seeing FB posts from plenty of people in Lake Charles, Sulphur, Iowa, Jennings, Lake Arthur, Elton that have lost power as of this morning. I still have it in Welsh but it’s probably only a matter of time.

Drove my arse into work this AM. Hwy 16 from St. Helena down to DS. Roads were reasonably clear. A good thing since my truck’s windows were/are still iced over. Had a 12x12 patch that I cleared off, and I couldn’t see out either side. Just opened the door and checked for traffic at the 3 or 4 intersections I went through.

Still no power in north LP, but I did see a handful of tiny snow flurries. Like a literal handful. No accumulation at all.

You end up staying in town? I'm over in Haughton and it's cold as balls. My mom is on Sligo and they just cut their power.

Yeah seeing way more people in SWLA this morning losing power and water. Over 30,000 right now.

Lots of cold people living in campers right now.

There was a weather station in Hosston, La that recorded -4 as the low this AM. Is that a record for La? Eta...No, apparently -16 in 1899.

Light snow in North LA adding to the 4 inch ice pack we have all over everything. Driving yesterday was like an episode of ice road truckers. It was much easier driving in the evening when I was all packed down hard as concrete compared to the morning when it was fluffy snow drifts in the road.

I am about to run daughter to work in St George. Experienced winter driver - got rid of SUV when I moved here. Really hating myself for that right now.

Will let you guys know how roads are in Tiger Bend/ Highland/Airline/ area in a bit.
