Will BR be getting much more precipitation? Looks like it might be staying west and north of BR.

Getting a light snow/sleet mix here in St Landry parish this morning.

How much ice ya'll have, pillage?

We decided to take the kids and go somewhere a bit warmer because of the amount of ice they were forecasting. Didn't want to have 2 little ones in a house with no power and no way to keep them warm.

I’m surprised both bridges in Lake Charles are still open.

They just showed one of them on KPLC and it looked like there was 2-3 cars stopped.

Really surprised how much the NETx area is getting. North of I20 corridor basically. I just checked for the first time since 230 and I've got 7.5". And it just isn't stopping.

All of the utilities are buried in the neighborhood. So I couldn’t tell you.

None around Lafayette

It’s way more sleet than freezing rain so far which I hope it stays that way

Slemco only reporting about 20 customers without power in St Landry Parish. It doesn’t look like we had much freezing rain. Probably a little at first. Mostly sleet and snow.

Actually have a little "thundersnow" action in CENLA - seems mostly sleet right now with about 1/8" to 1/4" (snow) already on the ground.

I wasn’t expecting power outages this early. Just checked the Entergy outage map and there are several neighborhoods out in Baton Rouge. Obviously tomorrow morning will be MUCH worse. Not good at all.

Serious question- so please excuse my ignorance....
How so specifically?
Examples...
I.e. more insulation? Thicker walls?
Genuinely curious...
Thanks

Not sure what’s going on with grid, but I’m hearing some strange noises outside

ETA Sounded like something blew around S foster/college drive area.
